Lockdown Maths [Just because we are in lockdown dosn't mean no maths]
This is my daily maths from lockdown. Lockdown doesn't mean no maths! We still have to keep our skills sharp. So far I have learnt about Statistics, Fractions, Geomerty and Patterns. I enjoyed doing Patterns today. I am wondering how long will we be in Lockdown and what maths will we do next?

Our trip to the Envirocenter
Gizzy Kai Rescue. |
Today Tawhirimatea and Tane Mahuta went to the Envirocentre. We did six activities and they were all really fun. Here are the six activities that we did.
- Gizzy Kai Rescue. At there we learned that they rescue food that would be thrown out and they give it to families who don't have enough food for themselves.
- The six Rs: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Replace and Rot. If you don't need something you can REFUSE it.
- We also went out in to the garden and had some carrots, peas and you will never guess:FLOWERS. I know, can you actually eat flowers? Yes you can well some of them.
- Beeswax wrappers are so fun to make, because I've made them. Thats right we also made those!
- Do you want to find out how to have a waste free lunchbox? Then go to the envirocentre.
- And last but not least Waste Free Events. We learnt how to have a party without all the waste.
My favorite part was when we got to go in to the DUMP!!! [Not real] It was dark and there was a huge RAT!!!! I am wondering can we go back next year?
