My Scratch Game

On last Monday Koka Amie showed us Scratch . We made our own games and you can use the arrow keys to move my sprite around. The aim of the game is to catch the rabbits. To move my cat around you use the arrow keys. To shoot a ball press space and A. A is is for one of the rabbits, space is for the other .

The Green Team

Last monday the Green Team from Ilminster came and did
a play about saving the environment. It was a save the
environment version of Cinderella. Cinderllela was called
Nerdarella and she was addicted to Minecraft. Her sisters
threw everything away after using it once. Her mum was
called Flora and loved saving the environment. The prince
Reese Cycle that ran the recycling centre just dumped
everything down the drain. I won’t tell you all of it and ruin it.

We have been learning about different kinds of media.

  

The media I like using to learn new information is non-fiction 

book like my kids Atlas.

I enjoyed finding the right shape to make the parrot.

I found  it challenging to make the pirates and choose the right colours.  

My digital learning object shows the pirates pointing at Parrot 

because she is a bird and the map say to”walk towards the bird 

for 30 paces.    

Next time I would change the story to Staying afloat.

Hi everyone yesterday it was the production. We had to watch
Rongomatane{room 2},Tane Mahuta{Room 2}  before we went
on. I was an ocean girl. I was in the front almost all the whole
scene. The girls in my class{Ruamoko}had our own changing
room. My favorite scene was Rongomatanes.

Hi everyone last Friday Bruce Potter came to school and he did
a drawing. It had the head of an elephant a body of ape and a
tail of a lizard. Afterwards we all did a doodle. Mine was of a
cave.

Hi everyone today I made a waka in Google Drawings. I enjoyed choosing the shapes to make a waka. I couldn’t figure out how to colour it. Finally I figured out how to do it. I had to hold:ctrl ,alt ,shift,i and type waka log textures.

Hi everyone on friday I did my speech. The
topic was Courage and Bravery. In it I talked
about Jean Batten and how brave she must of
been. I also talked about what Courage and
Bravery means to me and what Risk Taking is.

Hi everyone today we made our faces out of Polyline. To it we
had take a picture of our selves then put in a Google Slide. Then
we made our face out of shapes. I enjoyed finding the right
shape to make my mouth,eyes and nose. I found it hard to
make the hair out of polylines.

 Hi everyone yesterday we started making the whale for our
class scene. This me and Libby glueing the rubbish onto the
whale cut out. I really enjoyed cutting the rubbish and glueing it
on. Then today we finished the part that we started yesterday.
Once I burned myself and I had to give it to Libby to use until I
recovered.

Hi,Today we learned how to Hula dance. First Mr Milne gave us
some time to research Hula dancing. Then we had 5 minutes
to make a dance up and show the rest of the girls. Mr Milne
chose Izabella-Rose and Cristebel to show us the dance we
were going to use.

We are learning how to create  animation using Google Slides. I
enjoyed making the people move.It was challenging to duplicate
the Slide. To do that you click on the place where it shows the
Slide. Then ctrl d the Slide . Next time I will make it more detailed

Ki-o-Rahi

Hi everyone today for Friday program we
did Ki-o-Rahi. Friday program is where you go around every
class and do different things. For sport we did Ki-o-Rahi.
Ki-o-Rahi is when you have to try to score a try.
The other team has to try and hit the bin.
I was a defender in the first round then I went of.    

Cross Country

                  Cross Country

Hi, today it's the Cross Country and also my first one
at Makaraka
School. I’m really excited about doing it and I am going to
run as
fast as I can but not sprint at the beginning.
I am scared about running
up the hill’s. My goal is to beat my lowest score which is 17th.
At
the starting line I felt nervous. At the end I came 5th which is 13
better than last time. My sister Zara came 2nd in the girls
. My
Mum and my Granddad were really proud of me and  Zara.

The Marist Rugby Team

Yesterday the NZ Marist team came to school and they gave a talk about our values. Then the coach said" Do you like seeing the All Blacks doing there haka ". " Yes " we replied. then they did thier haka . Then we did our haka back.  Then they did another talk.  They said do you want to here a watita. "Yes" we replied. Then they did a song that I had never heard before. After that they said 'we understand thet you have a song?  "Yes" we replied And then w did the Makaraka song. After that they left.                                                     

Kelly Tarltons Aquarium

               

Hi this is me and my Dad at Kelly Tarltons.  We went in the tunnel where there's a glide path and we stood on it and it took us round the tunnel. When I wanted to go faster I went on the normal ground. I thought that the stingray mouth's looked weird and wouldn't look at them.                                                                                                                      

Eastwood Hill Fun

Hi ,this is me and Malia at Eastwood Hill.  She wasn't my partner but we were sitting together for the last photo.  My partner was Cass and we were in her popa's group.  I suggested we go at the back but Cass said if we go at the back all the leave's will get taken.  What I want to do next is go back with my family.I would also like to go on the other track's.

Eilidh's Science Fair

    Hi last term it was the science fair . I did mine on  road safety . It took along time but I did it .I acaccidentally made a new Piktochart so I couln't change the size . Because of that mine was a bit smaller than everyone else's.
